With June, the balmy weather has arrived and summer is in full swing!
Gardens and vegetable patches have begun to flourish, the hedgerows are full of fragrant elderflower blossoms and foxgloves, and our menus have changed to embrace the new season and the sumptuous English produce coming through.
Discover the new additions to our early Summer menu:
- Hand dived Scottish scallops tartar and dashi tea;
- Courgette flower with nettle pesto, borlotti beans, Mrs Kirkham’s cheese sauce;
- Free range poussin, cocoa beans, confit leg, seasonal mushrooms;
- and Devon rose veal, cauliflower puree, elderflower, pickled cauliflower, roast veal sweetbread.
The team have been also working on a new seasonal house cocktail and thirst quenching soft beverages with elderflower as the main event! Made with the freshly picked blooms, the kitchen has been preparing an array of cordials infused with summer berries and fresh peach.
With our new house made Summer Cocktail, the fragrant elderflower meets the zingyness of fresh English raspberries to create the perfect aperitif for the warm weather ahead!
